Artist Replete presents the first collection of work available online by Colombian street artist and visual poet - Cris Herrera Kiki.
The word "Palenqueras" derives from an age old tradition originating from Palenque de San Basillo, a village in Columbia. Women would walk every day to sell their fruit in hand-woven baskets on the streets of Cartagena. The artist uses his techniques to reinterpret the culture of his indigenous people.
With a strong love for theatre, he conveys signature appearance by wearing a mask.

With a belief that “everything is connected”, Columbian based street artist: Cris Herrera Kiki takes us on a journey within his mind. His inspiration stems from the indigenous people of Columbia and their displacement in modern society. The artist can often be seen wearing a mask, displaying his love for theatre.
