Chris Hynes

Over the past 12 years, the work of Chris Hynes has been internationally exhibited and collected. His sculptures bring together the raw brutality of manmade metal and the refined precision found in nature. Working primarily with reclaimed metal sourced from scrap yards, Hynes molds and assembles each piece by hand, allowing material and form to guide the final outcome.

Found elements often serve as the starting point for each work, shaping both the structure and interpretation of the sculpture. Through this process, industrial remnants are transformed into expressive, organic forms that feel both powerful and considered.

Chris Hynes was also featured in our editorial on contemporary assemblage practices, Assemblage Artwork: Found Materials, Reimagined, which explores artists working at the intersection of sculpture, material, and narrative.
