Ahmed ‘Flex’ Omar

Ahmed ‘Flex’ Omar is a serial entrepreneur and the founder of FlexTech.ai, an IT consulting company specializing in AI-driven digital transformations for small businesses and social enterprises. With a specializations in human-centered design, social innovation, and community mentorship, Flex has served as an advisor to hundreds of businesses and entrepreneurs, and has served formal mentorship roles with NASDAQ, Loyola University’s Quinlan School of Business, Envestnet | Yodlee Launchpad, and many, many more.  
Flex’s professional experience spans a robust career in finance and consulting, (including roles with Deloitte, UBS, and RSM) as well as work in the community nonprofit space with organizations such as Westside Health Authority, Muslim American Leadership Alliance, Midwest Fashion Week, and the Chicago Leadership Alliance. These diverse roles have influenced Flex’s unique position as a servant leader and entrepreneur who is capable of building businesses, networks, and communities across a range of industries and scales.  
As a community leader, Flex has worked to build multicultural networks in the Chicago metropolitan area to support DEI initiatives and build professional development pipelines for young people. He is also the architect of the first ever Muslim Heritage Month to be observed in the state of Illinois and a well-respected leader in Chicago’s interfaith community.   
With certifications in AI, Blockchain, Organizational Leadership, Accounting, and Business Strategy from prestigious institutions and companies like IBM, Loyola University Chicago, Blockchain Council, Northwestern, and many others, Flex’s dynamic “toolbox” of skills has allowed him to build, scale, and consult for dozens of companies. This work has gained him recognition from WVON’s 40-Under-40, Loyola’s Black Excellence Awards, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, bestowed upon Flex by President Obama for his volunteer work.
