Artist Bio
Jay Young, a self-taught artist based out of Virginia Beach, found his obsession in distorting figures using multiple layers of resin, oil paint, spray paint and other various mediums. Doing this he builds a mood to emotionally dominate the composition. Young’s work falls heavily in figurative expressionism and others have said surrealism. His work consistently pulls from the subconscious mind to bring feeling into form.
