Artist Replete presents Invictus by artist Chris Hynes. This sculpture began by taking an old fuel pump and was made to resemble the twelve cylinder engines of the P-51 Mustang.
" The contrast between the sleek lines of the metal and the intricate details of the feathers truly captures the essence of this magnificent bird of prey. I hope that this sculpture serves as a reminder of the beauty that can be found in reusing and repurposing materials, and inspires others to think creatively about how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.”
Over the past 12 years the work of artist Chris Hynes has been internationally exhibited and collected. Each piece the artists creates combines the brutality of manmade metal and the perfection of nature. Using metal from scrap yards and molding it with clay, the artist is able to breathe life into his creations. Often times the found parts will spark an idea and guide the interpretation.
