Acrylic Over 96' Money Sheet Print
35" x 60"  Framed by Artist

Artist Replete presents "Master of The Throne" the newest series from Chicago artist and former counterfeit legend, Arthur J. Williams Jr. A piece in reference to Arthur's first book Cain's Dagger.

A book that weaves subliminally between love and hate, heaven and earth, reality and the surreal, and what can only be imagined over the depth of time. Angel and Demon warriors juxtapose between episodes of historical fiction, fantasy, and a blend of mythology that centralizes in a mesmerizing story that tests our accepted limits on the origin of man, creation, and Christendom.

Arthur J. Williams Jr. is a South Side Chicago native who gained notoriety as the counterfeiter who successfully replicated the 1996 hundred dollar bill, producing millions in fake currency before serving twelve years in federal prison.
During his incarceration, he taught himself to paint, transforming his past precision into a new creative discipline. Since his release, Williams has emerged as a full time artist whose work often incorporates printed U.S. currency, exploring themes of value, authenticity, and redemption. His exhibitions, including recent showcases at LondonHouse Chicago and Art Basel, reflect a continued evolution as he turns the art of replication into a study of transformation.
