Artist Replete presents The Future by Jade Rivera, a dreamlike portrait where a child sits at the center of an awakening world, surrounded by color, motion, and possibility. Rivera blurs reality and imagination to reflect a moment of becoming.
Artist’s words:
At the heart of the image, a child folds into himself while an unfinished world begins to awaken around him. His figure appears from behind, not as an act of concealment, but as an invitation. By withholding his identity, the artist opens a space for anyone to inhabit that small, inclined body, allowing each viewer to recognize themselves within it and find their own point of origin.
These figures do not speak of a literal future, but of a vision of becoming blurred, magical, close to the terrain of dreams. They vibrate between what is possible and what has not yet found a name, fragments of a future that announces itself without fixing its shape.
Thus, The Future unfolds as a landscape in perpetual birth, where childhood functions as a threshold toward the undefined. Every future, the work seems to say, begins as a fragile revelation, a delicate line the artist listens to, recognizes, and releases.
What emerges is not a defined future, but a horizon breathing in whispers, traced by fine lines that the artist discovers as one might lift a veil to reveal forms already waiting in silence. Around this quiet nucleus, presences rise in a gentle tremor, wings barely brushing the light, hinted faces, bodies unfolding into possibility.
