His beloved collection of Hero Collage artwork takes what is meant to be viewed as linear, and explodes it on a flat surface to be enjoyed all at once. Each piece consists of specific and often rare comics that coincide with the overall image of art. Each comic book resigns itself to sacrifice through selection.

Joseph Mayernik was recently exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art in Tokyo, Japan during the 22nd annual Japan International Art Exchange Exhibition. In addition, the artist has been featured in exhibitions in Florida, Michigan, New York, California, and most recently in Chicago.
