CON-TEXURE Art Exhibition On Mag Mile Will Debut Three Stunning Artists Concurrently With Expo Chicago

Art Exhibition On Mag Mile Will Debut Three Stunning Artists Concurrently With Expo Chicago - Roger J. Carter - Jay Young - Michael Keum

Expo Chicago, one of the largest annually running art fairs, celebrates it's 10th edition this year at Navy Pier with over 170 galleries - its largest showcase to date. The venue will welcome an array of exhibitors and creatives from all over the world. While this artistic conglomerate takes place, just a stone's throw away from Navy Pier a satellite show titled CON-TEXTURE will also exhibit profound talent.

Participating artists include: Jay Young, Michael Keum & Roger J. Carter. Each will feature a different medium of work, including: imagery carved out of recycled wood; portraits made from action figures and; figurative compositions with oil paint. The curation will be based on a highly textural ambience interwoven with the foundation of portraiture.

" I'm excited to showcase my art in an accessible way for future collectors. Growing as an artist, overtime your work becomes unobtainable for the people it was originally created for. For this show it will still be a reality because I'm showing off a series of smaller works, which has taken a lot of time to figure out how to make with the medium I use. "

- Roger J. Carter

Opening week for CON-TEXTURE will run concurrently with Expo Chicago, Thursday - Sunday April 13th-16th with a special reception Saturday evening. The exhibit will be held on level two of the Water Tower Place, walking distance from the art fair. For more details, including hours of operation, visit the Eventbrite LinkRSVP to receive updates on artist meet and greets and more info on featured artwork.
