Artist Replete presents Sabor a Mí by Chicago artist Rawooh. Crafted in oil on carved wood, the piece uses a teardrop-shaped form to explore emotion through depth and movement. Layers of crimson, rose, and soft gray curve into the recessed interior, revealing an abstracted figure folded into the composition. The carved surfaces create natural pockets of shadow that shift with the viewer’s angle, giving the work a sense of breath and quiet tension.

Raul Ramirez, aka "Rawooh" has been known for years in Chicago for his eye-catching graffiti and mural work. His career began in 2006 as a street artist and later shifted to canvas work as his style began to mature. Some of his favorite mediums are painting on found objects, such as wooden crates.
