Artist Replete presents Kauyumari (translation: “The Blue Deer”). In Wixárika tradition, Kauyumari is a sacred guide, a messenger between the human and spiritual worlds. Here, Diske Uno reimagines the deer skull as both relic and symbol, its surface adorned with vivid, beaded patterns that speak to ancestral wisdom and ceremonial ritual. Blossoms weave through the antlers and drift across the canvas, softening the skeletal form with reminders of growth, renewal, and fragility.

With its vibrant palette and balance of realism and decorative detail, Kauyumari continues the artist’s exploration of heritage, memory, and transformation. The work bridges mortality with transcendence, offering a vision of the deer not only as an animal but as an eternal spirit that guides the journey toward clarity and vision.

Diske Uno is an urban artist and illustrator raised in Culiacán, Sinaloa. His passion for painting began at an early age on the streets of Mexico experimenting with graffiti.

In 2013 he started his evolution into an urban artist began as left his mark along many walls in Culiacán. The artist currently has murals throughout Mexico and Chicago. With a style rooted in the culture he grew up in, Diske has collaborated with brands like Starbucks, Walmart and many more.
