Artist Replete presents Tukipa (translation: “Ceremony of Vision”). In this work, Chicago based artist Diske Uno channels the sacred traditions of the Wixárika (Huichol) people, where “Tukipa” refers to a ceremonial gathering that honors vision, transformation, and ancestral wisdom.
A feline skull, painted with intricate beaded patterns, becomes a vessel of spiritual symbolism, merging mortality with renewal. Surrounding blossoms and vines weave through the composition, suggesting both fragility and eternal growth.
Diske Uno is an urban artist and illustrator raised in Culiacán, Sinaloa. His passion for painting began at an early age on the streets of Mexico experimenting with graffiti.
In 2013 he started his evolution into an urban artist began as left his mark along many walls in Culiacán. The artist currently has murals throughout Mexico and Chicago. With a style rooted in the culture he grew up in, Diske has collaborated with brands like Starbucks, Walmart and many more.
