7 Layer Screen Print

17" x 23" | 43 × 58 cm

Birds of Good Omen is a seven-color artist proof screen print by Roco Drilo, marked P/A (Prueba de Artista) and offered separately from the numbered edition. Artist proofs are set aside from the main edition and are often among the first and finest impressions pulled during the printing process, closely tied to the artist’s studio archive.

The composition brings together layered characters, symbolic creatures, and winding forms that feel both protective and chaotic, creating a sense of movement and tension across the surface. Rendered through seven distinct screen-printed layers, the work reflects Drilo’s distinctive visual language, where Mexican folk symbolism, graphic illustration, and contemporary pop references intersect.

As a P/A example, this print exists outside the standard edition count and was not part of the general release. It offers collectors a rarer entry point into the series and a closer connection to the artist’s working process.
