Acrylic & Marker
On Cotton Paper
11" x 14"
Artist Replete presents El Dios Del Inframundo (translation: “The God of the Underworld”). In this original work, Diske Uno reimagines the Xoloitzcuintli, the sacred Mexican hairless dog believed to guide souls to the afterlife, as a guardian between worlds. Adorned with marigold flowers and a sugar skull pendant, the figure blends reverence with playfulness, reflecting the harmony between life, death, and spiritual continuity.
Painted with acrylic and marker on cotton paper, the piece highlights Uno’s signature attention to cultural symbolism and vibrant precision. Every petal and pattern carries significance, nodding to Día de los Muertos traditions that celebrate remembrance rather than sorrow.
Sizing reflects the artwork unframed. The frame shown is included and brings the total dimensions to 17" W x 21" H.
