Artist Replete presents "Sunrise, Sunset" by Detroit artist Michael Keum. The artist's collection is inspired by relief printing, the oldest form of printmaking, which is based on the principle that the parts not to be printed are cut out.

While the woodblock is typically the tool to make the print, in this case it becomes the work of art.

Michael Keum is a Detroit based fine artist who became inspired by the age old techniques found in relief printmaking. After being surrounded by city culture for years, Keum began to form the subject matter for his style. "I decided to draw moments of intimacy but also want to show the degradation of it through different mediums." The artist currently create works digitally and by hand carving wood.
